Fiji Airways Men’s National 7's coach Gareth Baber states that the current team is his core group that he is preparing for the Olympics next year.
Baber says that they still have a bit of time and there are other players looking to join the team and make a name for themselves.
He says that this team is the core of the group that he will take to the Olympics.
Baber adds that he is always on the search for new talents and he has his eyes on some of the Drua players who are on their break right now.
Meanwhile, Baber also says that they are currently on their way to the Airport to head down to Cape Town and that Jerry Tuwai is well.
The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team is pooled with England, France and Kenya in the Cape Town 7s which will be held this Saturday and Sunday.
New Zealand is pooled with South Africa, Samoa and Zimbabwe.
USA heads Pool B with Argentina, Spain and Japan.
Australia is pooled with Scotland, Canada and Wales.
New Zealand now leads the World 7s series table standings with 22 points followed by USA with 19 points, England is 3rd with 17 points while Australia sits in 4th place with 15 points.
Fiji is in 5th place with 13 points while South Africa is in 6th place with 12 points.
