The World School Sevens Rugby tournament will kick off today in New Zealand with the Rugby Academy of Fiji Under 18 team taking on the New Zealand School Boys in their first match.

The match against the young Kiwis is expected to be tough, however the young Fijians have shown eagerness and are ready to take on the challenge.

Yesterday, Fiji played a friendly match against New Zealand based Tongan Barbarians where the two sides drew 15-15.

The Fiji U18 side is coached by former Flying Fijian, Seremaia Bai.

Fiji will take on New Zealand School Boys at 8.56 tonight in Auckland.

Fiji’s other pool matches will be against Cook Islands and the Samoan Barbarians.

Teams that are competing in the tournament include, Cook Islands, Japan, Australia, Tonga, Canada, USA, Samoa and New Zealand.
