Police are now analysing the substances found in the eight drug related arrests over the weekend with the suspects in custody.

Police arrested a suspect on Saturday in Brown Lane Nausori who was in possession of 7 sachets of dried leaves wrapped in brown paper believed to be marijuana.

In a house raid they also found 4 sachets wrapped in aluminum foil and some loose dried leaves believed to be marijuana in Tomuka in Lautoka.

They also made arrests in Martintar in Nadi where officers arrested a suspect who was in possession of 18 sachets wrapped in aluminum foil in a clear zip lock bag believed to be marijuana.

Another suspect was arrested in Shirley Park and found with plastic containing 17 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Police also searched a vehicle along Khalsa Road on Saturday and arrested two people who were found with 7 clear zip lock bags containing clear crystal believed to be methamphetamine.
