First Light Taveuni Men's 7s team understands the challenge and competition from the 16 teams competing for the McDonald's Fiji Coral Coast 7s title this month.
They won the Coral Coast 7s in 2017 and are prepared to claim it for the second time.
Team Manager Saki Veitogavi says they will be going into the tournament with caution and will treat every team as champions.
The team is now camping on the Garden Island and while most of their previous players have moved on, Veitogavi says that the new ones have pocketed winning attitudes.
He also says that they will name their 15 member squad by next week.
Veitogavi hopes that the Coral Coast 7s will create opportunities for the players to further their rugby career.
First Light is in Pool A with defending champion Police, BLK and Dratabu.
Tabadamu is in Pool B with Hong Kong, Sigatoka River Safari Henibua and Lokalevu.
Pool C will have Australian Development, Outrigger, Stars USA and Nasaunivalu.
The last pool will see Ratu Filise alongside NFA, Suva Stallions and Coastal Brothers.
The McDonald's Fiji Coral Coast 7s will take place from the 16th to the 19th of this month in Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
