The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation has conveyed their condolences on the passing of the Father of Special Education in Fiji Frank Hilton.

The Ministry says that they are mourning the loss of an inspirational national figure who has left an indelible mark on the lives of so many children with special abilities in Fiji.

Minister for Women and Children Mereseini Vuniwaqa says that she has had the honor of meeting Hilton for the first time at the annual wheelbarrow race a year or so ago during a charitable event for the Hilton Early Intervention Centre.

Vuniwaqa says that even at that ripe old age Hilton’s  passion for his lifelong cause showed through and through.

She adds that his legacy will live on and it is now on us who do care, to continue the great work that Father Hilton so selflessly undertook throughout his life.
