Labasa and Ba have ended their Vodafone Premier League match in a 1-all draw.
Both teams were locked at 0-0 during halftime.
Labasa’s goal was scored by Ashneel Raju in the 19th minute of the second half while Ba’s Manasa Nawakula equalized the scores just a minute after Labasa netted their goal.
Labasa maintained possession of the ball throughout the first half.
Great opportunities to score against Ba was lost by Napolioni Qasevakatini and Ravinesh Karan Singh.
Ba Team Manager Arvind Singh took the time to congratulate his players’ efforts despite the draw.
A penalty was also awarded to Labasa after Ba’s Kishan Sami had fouled Siotame Kubu, however the Babasiga Lions failed to capitalize on this opportunity.
Labasa Team Coach, Anand Sami says with the short time they had to prepare for this match, the players are looking good to do better in the coming games.
Ba will now take on Nadi in their next match while Labasa may come to Viti Levu to play Nasinu and Rewa.
