Police continue to make drug related arrests as a number of people were arrested over the past few days from the Northern and the Western divisions.

Drug related arrests were made in the Western Division following the uprooting of 1,050 green plants in Keyasi. The plants are suspected to be marijuana.

The uprooted plants were ranging from 22cm–210cm.

The owner of the farm is yet to be located.

After conducting stop and search, Police in Sigatoka found a vehicle containing dried leaves suspected to be marijuana with $115.45.

Police in Ba arrested a farmer and a market vendor who were also found in possession of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Police conducted a search in a taxi and found crystals and white powder.

Two men were arrested from Koro Island after they were found with 1.3g and 738g of leaves believed to be marijuana.

Two men from Malolo Island were arrested following a find of 16 plants and 34 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Police in the Northern Division arrested a farmer from Qelewaqa after he was found in possession of marijuana.

All suspects are in custody and the drugs have been sent for analysis.
