Police continue to arrest people in relation to drugs, as they continue their war on the drug trade.
A 43-year-old woman from Raiwai, Suva is in custody after she was allegedly found in possession of a plastic bag containing white substance which is believed to be methamphetamine.
She was also allegedly found in possession of more than $13,000 in cash.
Police say a man from Tavakubu Back Road, Lautoka is in police custody after he was allegedly found in possession of 17 rolls and nine small plastics containing dried leaves which are suspected to be marijuana.
In a separate incident, Nadi Police have made three arrests for drug related offences where a 52-year-old man is in custody after he was allegedly found in possession of 20 packets of dried leaves in a plastic bag suspected to be marijuana.
Police say a woman of Nakurakura, Nadi has also been arrested after she was allegedly found in possession of two packets of dried leaves wrapped in aluminum foil suspected to be marijuana.
The third case involved a 42-year-old taxi driver of Nadi Town after he was allegedly found in possession with a white plastic containing white substances believed to be methamphetamine.
A 36-year-old man of Koya Street, Lautoka was arrested after he was allegedly found with 9 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
Police in Rakiraki have also arrested a 28-year-old man of Namarai Village following a tip off about his alleged involvement in drug related activities.
The suspect is in police custody after he was allegedly found with dried leaves folded in a garbage bag suspected to be marijuana.
In Namara, police officers uprooted 13 plants ranging from 1 metre to 1.5 metres in height with 47 branches of dried leaves all believed to be marijuana which was wrapped in a bed sheet.
The owner of the farm is yet to be identified.
All drugs have been sent for analysis as investigations continue.
