Alasio Naduva’s spectacular try against Japan in the Sydney 7s has been selected as one of the top tries of the tournament.
Naduva chased a kick-off of the back of a Fiji try, racing away from the Japanese defenders before acrobatically scoring the try close to the dead ball line.
According to World Rugby, Naduva hit a top speed of 36 km/hr on his way to score the try.
Many people including some series commentators are calling it try of the season.
Naduva was also given the UL Mark of Excellence for the try.
Naduva and Mesulame Kunavula were also included in the Sydney 7s Dream Team.
Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales and Scotland for the Las Vegas 7s that will be held from the 2nd to the 4th of next month.
