Man charged with rape acquitted by Justice Aluthge

Lautoka High Court Judge Justice Aruna Aluthge has acquitted a man charged with one count of rape.

The man was alleged to have raped his 26-year-old sister-in-law in Ba.

Justice Aluthge says the complainant was not straightforward and not confident in her testimony.

The assessors had also found the man not guilty.
