Minister for Health, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete has confirmed that the only machine that is not working at the CWM Hospital is the biggest x-ray machine but they have other back up x-ray machines that are currently functioning.
Dr Waqainabete highlighted this after Opposition Whip, Lynda Tabuya claimed in parliament that certain x-ray machines at the CWM Hospital have not been working.
Tabuya also claimed that other machines were not working.
Dr Waqainabete confirmed that other machines like the MRI and CT Scans are working.
He says the parts of the biggest x-ray machine at CWM Hospital that has not been working has arrived in the country and is awaiting specialized engineers to reassemble it.
The Minister says the engineers will be in the country next Monday.
