Fiji Airways Flying Fijians scrum half, Frank Lomani says he is looking forward to representing Fiji at the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
While speaking to FijiVillage, the 23-year-old says he is pleased with the indication given that he will be in the squad.
Earlier this year, Lomani turned down overseas contracts to remain in Fiji and focus on trying to earn a spot for this year’s Rugby World Cup.
He says his plan was to play in the 2023 World Cup but if the opportunity came sooner he will proudly represent Fiji.
Lomani says he faced a lot of challenges at the start of his rugby career and he encourages young rugby players to never give up.
Some of the highlight of success for Frank Lomani includes playing for the Flying Fijians that delivered a historic win over France last year, he played for the Barbarians that won over Argentina, played for the Fijian Drua that won the Australian National Rugby Championship.
He also captained the Fiji Warriors to winning the World Rugby Pacific Challenge earlier this year.
Lomani will be playing for the Swire Shipping Fijian Latui against Kagifa Samoa in the Global Rapid Rugby competition next Saturday.
Fiji is pooled with Wales, Australia, Georgia and Uruguay at the Rugby World Cup which will kick off on September 21st in Japan.
