Chiefs and All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick says some of the community work they have been doing in Fiji has been humbling and empowering.

The 2014 World Rugby Player of the Year is in Fiji with the Chiefs but will not play against the Crusaders tonight.

Retallick told Radio Sport that territory and possession are some of the key things they look to improve on tonight.

This will be the third Super Rugby match between the Chiefs and Crusaders in Fiji.

The Chiefs won the first game in 2016 and the Crusaders won a year later.

The Hamilton-based franchise must topple the reigning champions in Fiji tonight to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

The Chiefs host the Crusaders at the ANZ Stadium in Suva tonight.
