The President of the Fiji Muslim League Hafiz Khan says this year has been a difficult one for the people of Fiji and New Zealand due to the recent terrorists attacks on the Muslim community there.
He says there will be a special memorial that will be held to remember the victims of the attacks.
Khan has wished peace and prosperity to people in Fiji and around the world.
Eid is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadhan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
Eid is also a time of forgiveness and unity.
During the holy month of Ramadhan, Muslims refrain from eating or drinking from dawn till dusk.
