Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating Eid in Fiji today.

The President of the Fiji Muslim League Hafiz Khan says this year has been a difficult one for the people of Fiji and New Zealand due to the recent terrorists attacks on the Muslim community there.

He says there will be a special memorial that will be held to remember the victims of the attacks.

Khan has wished peace and prosperity to people in Fiji and around the world.

Eid is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadhan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

Eid is also a time of forgiveness and unity.

During the holy month of Ramadhan, Muslims refrain from eating or drinking from dawn till dusk.
