Defending Super Rugby champions, the Crusaders thrashed the Highlanders 38-14 in the first quarter-final last night.
Liam Squire’s yellow card cost the Highlanders the game.
Squire was sent off the field for a no-arm tackle on opposite number Whetu Douglas which cost them two more tries from the Crusaders in the second half.
Crusaders fly half Richie Mo’unga scored two tries while David Havili, Michael Alaalatoa and Douglas scored a try each.

Highlanders winger Sio Tomkinson and center Tei Walden scored a try each.
The Crusaders have now booked themselves a home semi-final where they will take on the winner of the Hurricanes and the Bulls game.
Today the Jaguares will take on the Chiefs at 10.10am, the Hurricanes will face the Bulls at 7.35pm, while the Brumbies will host the Sharks at 10.05pm.
