A man who drove his car into a crowd of protesters in the US city of Charlottesville, killing a woman, has been sentenced to life in prison.
BBC reports James Alex Fields Jr was sentenced for numerous federal hate crimes committed in the August 2017 attack.
Fields drove his car into people protesting against a white nationalist rally.
The self‑declared neo‑Nazi has also been convicted of murder at the state level in Virginia.
He is set to be sentenced in that case next month.
