Roko Tui Dreketi and SODELPA MP Ro Teimumu Kepa has clarified why she was not present at the SODELPA AGM in Yaroi, Savusavu yesterday.

In a statement, Ro Teimumu says she was at the Rewa Day at Syria Park in Nausori yesterday in which she officiated as the Chief Guest.

Ro Teimumu says it was a pre‑planned event from 2016.

Former SODELPA President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu had said at the SODELPA AGM in Savusavu that he invited the Marama Na Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Teimumu Kepa to be chief guest at the party’s AGM in Yaroi, Savusavu but Ro Teimumu was not present in the meeting.

Ratu Naiqama said that he wanted Ro Teimumu to be there so that he could perform the iTaukei traditional apology.

He says that there has been a lot said when the leadership changed in the party from Ro Teimumu to Sitiveni Rabuka.

Ratu Naiqama says that a lot of people pointed at Ratu Naiqama and his people that they hurt Ro Teimumu's leadership.

Ratu Naiqama says that one day SODELPA’s Sainiana Radrodro was crying saying that nothing was done in this regard.

He says that he then told Radrodro that it is his responsibility to perform the traditional apology and not Niko Nawaikula's, Mosese Bulitavu’s or anyone else’s.

He said that is why he also invited Ro Filipe Tuisawau.
