The Fiji National Provident Fund says some employers are repeat offenders for failing to comply with provisions of employee contributions.
It has taken about 100 employers to court.
FNPF Chief Financial Officer Pravinesh Singh says they have taken action against them through travel bans and prosecution in court.
Singh says these include employers in the construction and security industries who are not so reputable.
He says sometimes it is even difficult to find these employers.
Singh is urging FNPF members to report cases where their employers are not paying contributions.
FNPF CEO, Jaoji Koroi says majority of employers are in compliance but they want to work with these small group of employers whose employees are in a vulnerable position.
He says they are entering into a lot of Memorandum of Understandings to work with stakeholders in these industries.
According to the FNPF 2018 Annual Report, The Fiji National Provident Fund recovered $1.7 million in outstanding contributions through legal proceedings last year.
