Fiji-born Crusaders winger, Sevu Reece is the only Crusader to be named in the ESPN's Super Rugby Team of the Year.
Reece, who joined the Crusaders on a replacement contract during the pre‑season, was a predictable selection on the right wing after being a try‑scoring machine for the Crusaders during the 2019 Super Rugby season.
Stand-out players for the Crusaders in 2019, Scott Barrett, David Havili, Braydon Ennor and Matt Todd , like Richie Mo'unga only earn honourable mentions.

Including Reece, five New Zealand players made the cut for ESPN's Super Rugby team of the year including Anton Lienert‑Brown, Rieko Ioane, Brad Weber and Ardie Savea.
The Crusaders will host the Jaguares in Christchurch at 7.35pm Saturday in the Super Rugby final.
