Violence against boys and girls in schools continue to be a major concern.
According to the 2018 National Substance Abuse Advisory Council Report, there were 6,594 cases of bullying, 5,004 cases of punching, 1,021 cases of beating and 2,349 cases of slapping.
3,636 girls were victims of bullying while 2,260 girls were punched in school.
2,958 boys were bullied in school while 2,744 boys were punched up in school.
There were 152 cases of cyber bullying, 5,894 cases of swearing and 7,287 cases of name calling.
