7 amateur boxers will be representing Fiji at the Pacific Games in Samoa from next week.

Fiji Amateur Boxing Association National Coach, Nicholas Fuata, says during the preparation phase they have focused a lot on strength and conditioning.

Fuata says some of the boxers that went to Australia for a month of preparations took part in an elite competition in Australia.

He adds that three of the boxers lost in points in the final and one of the boxers won his category.

He says they aim to win medals in all categories adding that realistically not all medals maybe gold.

Boxers like Winston Hill, Jone Koroilagilagi, Nathan Singh and Zoheb Ali will be representing Fiji.

The Boxing Competition will start on the 16th of July.
