Fiji Airways Flying Fijians coach John McKee has retained 16 players that won against the Maori All Blacks two weeks ago in Suva to take on Japan in their first match of the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup.
Players like Ben Volavola, Frank Lomani, Viliame Mata, Semi Kunatani, Leone Nakarawa and Levani Botia make their return after missing last weekend’s game.
Local prop Eroni Mawi will start in the front row together with hooker Sam Matavesi and Manasa Saulo.
Leone Nakarawa and Albert Tuisue will partner again in the starting second row while skipper Dominiko Waqaniburotu and Semi Kunatani will be on the flanks.
Viliame Mata returns at number eight.
Frank Lomani comes in at scrum half, Ben Volavola at Number 10 while Alivereti Veitokani will again move to the full back position.
Waisea Nayacalevu and Levani Botia will partner again in the mid fields while Filipe Nakosi and Patrick Osbourne will be on each side of the winger position.
McKee says they are getting further down their journey towards the Rugby World Cup and have a stronger understanding of their game plans and their systems.
The Flying Fijians face Japan at 5.50pm tomorrow.
