A 40-year-old man who allegedly burgled the house of a 48-year-old woman and later raped her in a settlement in Nausori appeared in the Suva High Court today.
Mubarak Hussein is charged with a count each of burglary, sexual assault and rape.
The alleged incident happened on 31st May, 2013.
It is alleged that the woman was alone in the house at the time of the incident.
Mubarak has been remanded in custody and High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajashinge will deliver the bail ruling on the 14th of this month.
