The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians has beaten Canada 38‑13 in their World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup match.

Captain Leone Nakarawa, Viliame Mata and Peceli Yato scored the tries for Fiji in the first half.

Fiji led 19‑13 in the first half.

In the second half, Mesulame Dolokoto, Josua Tuisova and Peni Ravai scored the tries for Fiji.

Fiji put on a massive defensive effort in the second half to keep the Canadians scoreless in the second half.

Coach, John McKee says he is happy with the performance but there is still room for improvement.

Canada coach Kingsley Jones says they played a good Fiji team.

Jones says Fiji capitalized on their scoring opportunities.

The Fiji team will now play Samoa this Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
