Nasinu soccer coach Tagi Vonolagi says that he knew goalkeeper Josaia Ratu would be instrumental in the side's Inkk Mobile BOG campaign.
Ratu who previously played for Ba joined Nasinu last month.
Tagi says that he instantly contacted Ratu to join the Nasinu soccer team when he heard that Ratu was on the lookout for a new team.
Ratu played a key role in Nasinu qualifying for the semi-finals as he made a number of important saves in their match against Nadi including a penalty save late in the second half.
Nasinu had not qualified for the semi‑finals of any major tournament for the past 14 years.
They will face Labasa in the first semi-final this Saturday at 6.30pm while Lautoka will play Suva in the second semi-final while the final will be played at 4pm Sunday.
