Wales are provisionally the number one team in world rugby after they defeated England 13-6 in their second warm up match.

This means that the All Blacks 509 weeks reign at the top of the World Ranking has come to an end despite them beating the Wallabies 36-0 last night.

A first‑half try from George North and points from the boots Dan Biggar and Leigh Halfpenny were enough for the win.

Having gone down 33‑19 in London last Sunday, Wales brought more intensity and line speed for the return fixture and their reward is moving to the top of the rankings for the first time in their history.

Wales is pooled with Australia, Fiji, Georgia and Uruguay.

Wales will take on Georgia on the 23rd of next month at 11.15pm in their first match of the Rugby World Cup.

The Rugby World Cup will be held from the 20th of next month to the 2nd of November.
