A single mother has been jailed for one year for robbing an Australian national in 2015 at a hotel in Suva.
Sisilia Maile was drinking with the woman before she robbed her of her wedding ring, mobile phone and other assorted items.
Maile punched the woman and ran away after the robbery.
High Court Judge Justice Aruna Aluthge sentenced Maile to 2 years imprisonment.
The judge has ordered for Maile to only serve 12 months imprisonment in the Corrections Centre and the balance 12 months of the imprisonment term is suspended for a period of 3 years.
