Ten more arrests were made in the Southern, Western and Northern Divisions yesterday as police officers continue to receive public support on their efforts on the war against drugs.
Police conducted a raid at the home of a 34 year old IT Technician of Nakasi where two plastics containing white crystals believed to be methamphetamine were found.
The raid was a result of information received from the public.
The suspect remains in custody while the substance has been sent for analysis.
A 25 year old man of Vatuwaqa was also arrested following a raid at his house where officers discovered pot plants containing plants believed to be marijuana.
Meanwhile, a 37 year old bowser attendant in Kinoya was also arrested after he was found with sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana and more than $600 cash.
Officers also raided a house in Valelevu and seized a plastic containing dried leaves, and bottles containing more than 100 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
The owner of the house is in custody. The leaves have been sent for analysis.
In Nadi, a house belonging to a 50 year old woman was raided at Waikamu Sub-Division where officers discovered a plastic containing more than 120 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
A 27 year old man was also arrested with the woman.
In Nakorotubu, Ra a 49 year old man was arrested following a raid at his farm where more than 200 plants believed to be marijuana were uprooted following a tip off from members of the public.
Two men both aged 45 years were also arrested from V.M Pillay Road in Lautoka after they were allegedly found with more than 20 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
In the Northern Division, a team of officers raided a farm belonging to a 26 year old man of Vuniyasawa village and found buckets of green plants believed to be marijuana.
