Vodafone Fiji U-23 soccer coach Marika Rodu says the aim is to win against Vanuatu and head into the semi-final as group winners.

He says Vanuatu is a very experienced team, who are attack minded and creative but adds that their defence has not been tested yet.

He says the challenge will be to produce scoring opportunities adding Fiji also has to improve on its defence.

The Vodafone Fiji u‑23 soccer team will play Vanuatu at 3pm today in the OFC Olympic Qualifiers to decide who tops Group B.

Both Fiji and Vanuatu have qualified for the semi‑final.

If Fiji wins they will then play the Solomon Islands in the semis while a draw or loss will see Fiji take on New Zealand.

Fiji takes on Vanuatu at 3pm today at Churchill Park.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand U23 soccer team have secured top spot in Group A after beating Solomon Islands 4‑2 last night.

The semi‑finals will be held next Wednesday while the final will be held next Sunday.

All matches will be played at Churchill Park.
