The head of a school in Rakiraki and a staff member have been suspended by the Education Ministry for allegedly tampering with external exam papers.

Education Minister Rosy Akbar says in the latest report she got from the Permanent Secretary a day or two ago, those implicated have been suspended.

She says they will definitely take strict action against any breaches in examination policies.

Akbar has warned heads of schools to adhere to policies and rules within the Ministry so that exams are fair and transparent.

When asked if a police complaint has been filed, Akbar says they are in the initial stage of the investigation and as they move forward and come with concrete evidence, they definitely will.
