Police are still searching for remand prisoner Waisea Sasalu who escaped from the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday morning.

Police have confirmed that checkpoints have been erected to help catch him.

Sasalu was awaiting his court appearance for an aggravated robbery case.

Meanwhile, an internal investigation will be carried to try and establish how Sasalu escaped.
