The Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre of Fiji today conducted free medical checkups and heart screening for children of Dilkusha Home for the third consecutive year in Nasese.

After the checkup, members of the Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre hosted Christmas celebration and lunch for the kids.

The Director of Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre, Dr Krupali Tappoo says so far 71 children have undergone surgeries for congenital heart disease all over Fiji and they are all doing well.

Dr Tappoo says over 450 children have been screened already for congenital heart disease in Fiji.

The Centre also held a birthday celebration of children from the Dilkusha Home whose birthday falls in December.

Minister for Education, Rosy Akbar also joined the celebration to celebrate her birthday with the children. 

Children were also presented with gifts .
