About 20 people who took shelter at Vunisei District School in Kadavu last night have started to return to the village to check the damage done by Tropical Cyclone Sarai to their homes.
Aiyaz Dean Mohammed and his colleagues who are working on the road from Vunisei to Kavala took shelter at Vunisei District School last night.
He says many of the people were scared as it was a very intense situation.
He says some of the houses have been damaged and the Village Head is conducting assessments.
