The National Disaster Management Office says the Kavala Health Centre has received no reports of anyone being injured in Northern Kadavu by Tropical Cyclone Sarai.

It says reports from the Assistant District Officer Kadavu confirms major damages to crops and vegetation on the island.

NDMO officials on the ground in Kadavu are still conducting initial damages assessment for Kadavu.

There has also been damages to Vunisea Secondary School.

The NDMO has received a damage report and is expected to release more details about the extent of the damages.

Another evacuation centre has been activated at Vabea Village community hall.

2,030 people are currently staying in 59 evacuation centres around the country.
