The Land Transport Authority says Dominion Transport Limited has stopped providing services without a proper reason being given and the LTA has written to and warned the bus company to operate according to it’s registered particulars.
LTA CEO Samuel Simpson has refuted claims that they instructed the bus company to cease operations.
Dominion Transport Limited stopped servicing its routes between Sigatoka and Nadi on Thursday.
Resident of Malolo Transmitter Road in Nadi, Abdul Ifraan says thousands of people have had to walk upto four kilometres to the main highway in order to find transport to get to work or access essential services such as health care.
He says no warning was given and bus services just stopped completely all of a sudden.
