The Hurricanes have announced All Blacks duo TJ Perenara and Dane Coles will share the captaincy for the 2020 Super Rugby season, which begins at the end of the month.

Perenara stepped into the role in recent seasons and has been named as co-captain alongside his long-time teammate, Coles.

The pair have played 237 games for the Hurricanes collectively, an experience that will be vital given the high-profile departures from the club.

The Hurricanes will face the Stormers in their opening match at 1.05am on the 2nd of next month.

Meanwhile, the Super Rugby season kicks-off with the Blues taking on the Chiefs at 6.05pm on the 31st of this month.
