Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete has told 96 intern medical officers to ensure that they change the culture of delays when attending to patients.
While speaking at the opening of the three-day induction training for medical officers at the Pearl Resort in Pacific Harbour today, Dr. Waqainabete told the medical officers not to leave anyone behind especially those that are on the fringes, the marginalised and those that are disabled.
He further says they need to reach the unreachable and they have to make sure that everyone is included, the blind, the people who do not have enough income and young solo pregnant mothers.
The three-day induction training will include; familiarization of the public service codes of conduct; strategic planning of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services; operational plan and the ministry’s priorities.
