The Education Ministry says all schools remain open in the Suva, Nausori and Nasinu areas however the Ministry is closely monitoring the water disruption situation.

The Ministry says they are liaising with Water Authority of Fiji to ensure that water is delivered to the schools that are facing disruptions.

The Education Ministry says they have not received any complaints from schools in Suva, Nausori and Nasinu that they do not have water in schools.

They say if there is a need to close any school in these areas then the Ministry will further advise the students and parents.

The Ministry says they will ensure that whatever decision they make will not compromise the safety of the children in school.

They further say that based on the water disruption situation in their respective areas, parents can make their own decisions on whether they can send their children to school or not.
