Thousands of people in parts of Sigatoka are facing water disruptions.

Areas affected include Sigatoka Town, Lawaqa, Rakirakilevu, Malaqereqere, Volivoli, Kulukulu and Tulalevu. 

The Water Authority of Fiji says ground teams are carrying out immediate repairs to the burst Lawai to Voua trunk main pipe along Valley Road in Sigatoka.

Water supply is expected to normalize by 10 o’clock tonight.
