The Fiji Airways Mens national 7s team have been bundled out of the cup competition after losing to New Zealand 22-19 in the semi finals at the London 7s.

Fiji had scored 3 tries in the first half through Waisea Nacuqu and Vuiviawa Naduvalu getting two to give them a 19-5 lead at half time.

The second half was a turn-around for New Zealand as they controlled the game and put Fiji under a lot of pressure with their continuous attacks inside Fiji’s half.

Fiji struggled to get their hands on the ball as New Zealand scored three tries through Kitiona Vai, Dylan Collier and Akuila Rokolisoa.

New Zealand will meet Australia in the cup final.

Australia had earlier beaten Samoa 29-14 in their cup quarter final.

Fiji will now play Samoa in the bronze-medal play-off.
