Military officers are assisting the police in questioning the suspect who is alleged to have been involved in the theft at the Interim Prime Minister’s Office last weekend.

Military spokesperson Major Neumi Leweni confirmed to Village News that the suspect who has been charged with theft was to appear in court this afternoon, however, they requested police to question him on certain issues before he is taken to court.

The 35 year old suspect will now appear in court on Monday.

All the items which were removed from the Interim Prime Minister’s office, a laptop, a mobile phone and a USB cable have also been recovered.

He was arrested yesterday morning after tip off that he was trying to sell the laptop.
