The Pacific Centre for Public Integrity has a constitutional right to speak out against the interim administration and the Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama needs to know that.
This is the view of PCPI Director, Angie Heffernan who has hit out at Commodore Frank Bainimarama's statements this morning, that NGO activists like herself and Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Coordinator, Shameema Ali should keep quite rather than criticizing the interim administration's decision to re-invoke the Public Emergency Regulation.
Heffernan said organisations like PCPI have a right to express themselves under the Constitution, which is still in place.
However Bainimarama had earlier told Village that Heffernan and Ali do not understand the current situation and are just making negative comments.
