Only a mother would know the extent of what she can do to ensure the survival of her family.
Those were the words of former High Court Judge Nazhat Shameem at the launch of a new magazine called "Families Fiji" which is the intiative of the Fiji Council of Social Services Family and Population Activities Center.
Shameem said in the modern world, mothers have to make many sacrifices, some even forced into prostitution to safeguard their families.
She also highlighted how mothers have to teach their children values and respect which they themselves are not entitled to.
The Families Fiji magazine is aimed at encouraging people to participate communially by highlighting family events and activities and issues individual families face on a daily basis.
