Police are now calling on parents and drivers to exercise caution while on the road.

This is after 600 drivers were booked over the weekend.

The police has expressed concern as there will be heavy traffic as people have been travelling to the Central Division to visit their relatives and to cheer for their team during the Vodafone Fiji Fact.

Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra said even though there were no major accidents this long weekend, police booked 600 drivers and took 12 drivers into custody.

SSP Mishra said that while a lot of attention is on drivers, the pedestrians are also leading causes for accidents and calls on parents to teach their children road rules.
