The Digicel Fiji 7s team is spending a lot of time looking at ways they can improve on their defence during the George 7s tournament in South Africa this weekend.
This is after their pool opponents Portugal, Russia and Australia put up a good show at the Dubai 7s tournament last weekend.
Australia should be the dangerous opponent for Fiji in their final pool encounter when they produced the shock result of the Dubai 7s, by beating the defending champions and World Series title holders South Africa in a 7-0 thriller.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula said his players have been told of their weaknesses from Dubai and they will have to step up in South Africa.
Meanwhile, Sireli Naqelevuki has joined the Fiji 7's team for the George 7's this weekend.
Naqelevuki, who played for the Stormers in the Super 14, replaces Jerry Buruto and Niumaia Cakacaka who are injured.
The George 7s tournament will kick off on Saturday. Fiji's opening pool match against Portugal will be at 12:10am, then at 3:16am they play against Russia and the final pool match against Australia will be played on Saturday morning at 7:16am.
