The lack of phones, internet and technology are just some of the memories of being at Natabua High school in the late 60s.
That was the sentiment of Fiji Women’s Crisis Center executive director Shamima Ali in relation to the Natabua High School’s 80th anniversary.
Ali said there were a lot more restrictions compared to these days.
She recalled that it was during a class when they heard over the radio that the first American Astronaut Neil Armstrong had set foot on the moon.
Ali said the school has managed to uphold its reputation of excelling in education and expanding into a multi racial school.
The Natabua High School anniversary will be held tomorrow and Saturday in Lautoka.
