Motorists entering Waimanu road from Ratu Mara road will continue to face traffic congestion this afternoon as the Water Authority of Fiji continues its work on the water main.
The water Authority is carrying out the works near the traffic lights after receiving a complaint that water was leaking from a burst main in that area.
Upon green light vehicles have to slow down near the dug up portion.
Authority has confirmed this afternoon that due to the immense work involved, the repair works will continue this evening.
However during this period repairs meant shutting supply to the new wing of CWM Hospital, water authority has deployed two water trucks to cart water during this period.
It is not clear when the works will be completed.
Meanwhile, Suva City Council CEO Sera Nicholls said they are waiting for the water works to be completed before the road is sealed.
