Former Fiji Bati winger Akuila Uate is now a New South Wales State of Origin player.
The 23-year-old will make his debut next Wednesday after he was successful in applying to change his international representative status from Fijian to Australian last season.
Uate represented Fiji in the 2008 World Cup and again in the 2009 Pacific Cup.
But bad news for another former Bati Jarryd Hayne, as he was not selected in the NSW side.
