The Health Ministry is concerned about the recent outbreak of dengue fever and is advising the public to destroy all mosquito breeding place.

This is after 12 cases were reported in the Western and Northern Division.

Spokesperson Peni Namotu said they are awaiting test samples sent to Queensland for the confirmation of dengue fever type 2.

Type 2 is critical which can cause death.

A total of 80 cases of dengue fever have been reported in the country this year.
