People in the Northern Division may receive occasional heavy rainfall starting tonight for the next few days as the active trough of low pressure moves North.
Nadi Weather Office forecasters said low lying areas of Vanua Levu may experience flash flooding.
Occasional rain for the Central Division is also expected.
The trough is expected to move Southwards in the weekend and similar weather is expected.
Meanwhile, a severe flood warning remains in force for major rivers, streams and low lying areas of Western and Northern Viti Levu.
Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms over the interior and Northern Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Northern Lau and Northern Lomaiviti groups.
Occasional rain, possibly heavy at times for the southeastern parts of Viti Levu.
Meanwhile, the water level in the Nadi River is still above critical level.
